Your Healing Guide for St. Augustine, Florida

Spiritual Women's Retreat in Vilano Beach, Florida

The Ultimate How-To Guide for Healing Yourself in the Oldest City.

So, you’re ready to start your Healing & Glow Up Journey, but you’re not sure where to start…

Maybe you want to Manifest a better life, get in shape, or maybe you’ve been through some difficult times, and you’re just looking for some inner peace. Whatever it is, the best way to set yourself up for success… is to create support systems, that you can rely on.

This is a guide to healing yourself, from a St. Augustine local, that has lived here for over 30 years and has done so herself.

IMPORTANT: TAKE WHAT RESONATES FOR YOU. AND LEAVE THE REST.

Spiritually

Healing yourself on a Spiritual Level can look different for everyone. Here’s what has worked for me and what I’d recommend:

  • Yoga. This is an ancient practice that dates back thousands of years. It’s one way to get in tune with your body, your mind and your spirit. There are MANY different types of yoga classes so I suggest trying a few different kinds to see what you love the most. We also have A LOT of studios here in the Oldest City, so here are just my top 4 that I’d recommend.

    • On Anastasia Island you’ll find The Yoga Collective They offer Hot Yoga in the Sun Room and everything from Yin, Vinyasa and Vin to Yin in the Moon Room. You might catch one of my Breath Work & Sound Healing workshops here, and some Spiritual goodies of mine, that I sell in the lobby.

    • Also on the Island is The Studio They have an infrared sauna here and a cold plunge tank! The owner also offers Astrology readings that I would definitely recommend grabbing for yourself!

    • For classes Uptown, go check out Now and Zen Studio Not only do they have Yoga and Barre Classes, but they do Full Moon Women’s circles and Beach Clean ups!

    • If you’re Downtown go see Serenity Yoga Honestly, I haven’t been in here yet as they are newer in town, but it looks like a total vibe! And I hear they have a great Reggae Sunday class if you love Reggae… like I do.

  • Crystals. Healing crystals can be such a fun way to set your intentions and manifest your desires. There are crystals for healing each Chakra, protecting your home and clearing your energy from any blocks, just to name a few ways to use them.

    • Peaceful Spirit is a locally owned Metaphysical Gift & Rock Shop. They have crystals, tarot decks, pendulums, palo Santo/sage, candles and so much more. Say hello to Diane for me, she has a wealth of knowledge on crystals and always makes it fun to go in and see what crystals are calling to you!

    • Tarot through Portals and Phases Becky offers some amazing crystal pieces, Moon Circles and Tarot readings. Highly recommend connecting with her!

    • My Cauldron Too is in the heart of Downtown. I’d recommend finding a good parking spot and walking around before, or after. The Square, the seawall and the Fort are always refreshing to just allow yourself to stroll. There’s a Kookaburra Coffee by the Square and lots of great restaurants to try… my favorite is The Floridian when I’m downtown.

  • Spiritual Center. The Center of Spiritual Living offers a 10am Sunday Service, Reiki healing and Spiritual Counseling

  • Transcendental Meditation. Check them out here for meditation

  • Spiritual Healing Programs I have created easy, online programs to help you Manifest your Glow up and Next Level Self! Some of my online programs include: Crystal Clear, Receive and Level Up. These programs include everything from Manifestation, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Chakra Healing, Sound Healing, Mindset Work, Womb Healing, Clearing out Self-Sabotage and so much more. Learn more here

Physically

For Physical Healing I have done a few different things in town that have helped tremendously. In my early 20’s I was in 3 different car accidents and have been working on strengthening my body after too much yoga and not enough strength training. Plus the added stress of moving 8 times while being a single parent in my 30s.

  • Chiropractor. I know that this isn’t for everyone. But I do think it really is dependent on finding a GREAT Chiropractor in order to actually see results and not NEED to go 3 times a week indefinitely like I was told by a prior physician. With Bailey Health Solutions they actually helped my neck and any random physical injuries I got from weight lifting. I went from going 3 times a week with my old Chiro (for a year which was so expensive! And I never really got results because he told me I just needed to keep coming) to only going a few times a year now! I recommend everyone to Doctor Bailey because I went from severe neck pain (to the point of waking up paralyzed and getting rushed to the ER…to pain free!). They also offer great Massages, Acoustic Wave Therapy and Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, which I highly recommend all of these, as they are very affordable and actually work incredibly well for physical pain and/or injuries.

  • Massage. We have a lot of great Massage therapists in the area! I love Earthly Elements, Go Madd 4 Massage, and Hand and Stone

  • FOOD that heals. Eating high quality food will help so much in your Self-Healing and Glow Up Journey! Some of my favs are… Manatee Cafe, Buena Onda, Crave, Creative Juices, Juicy, 3 Natives and Stir it Up.

  • Herbs & Supplements. I cannot say enough about Healing Waters. They have the largest selection of Herbs, Natural Medicines and they do offer Massage as well. Say hello to Lawerence for me! They helped me heal my TMJ issues a long time ago and I highly recommend them for massage and for herbs!

  • Herbs & Supplements. Diane’s Natural Health Food Store. It is a little pricey here, but it is convenient and they have a lot to choose from health food wise and supplements. The closest bigger Health Food Stores are a little north of St. Augustine. Trader Joes. Whole Foods. Native Sun.

  • Reset Athletic. One of my favorite places to go and receive healing is Reset Athletic. They have 2 locations that include I.V. Therapy (great boost for the immune system if you’re feeling like you’re about to get sick), Stretch Therapy, Cold Plunge/Cryotherapy, Infrared Sauna and more!

Community

Finding communities that focus on shared experiences, empathy, and understanding of others who have walked similar paths as you can be transformative. Communities offer a space where you feel seen, heard, and validated, which can be essential components of healing

  • St. Augustine Farmers Market. Saturday mornings 8:30-12:30 you can walk around grab a coffee, some fresh veggies and hear some music

  • Beach Farmers Market. Wednesday mornings 8-12:00 is a similar market but it’s right next to the beach!

  • Green Turtle Kava. During my own healing journey (over the past decade) one of the spaces that have been most helpful is finding somewhere you can just hang out, socialize and not be at a bar with alcohol and drunk people slurring their words. No shade to bars (I still love going out dancing to live music, every once in awhile. But, in terms of socializing and having nourishing conversations about things that matter, Kava bars have been a saving grace for me! And Green Turtle has been a beautiful addition to our community.

  • AA Meetings. If part of your healing journey is getting sober, AA meetings can be helpful! For me personally, I’ve only been to a handful of them, in my 7 years of sobriety, but they are a good resource if you’re new to sobriety and looking for support/community. This link allows you to put in your zip code and find all the meetings near you.

  • The Refillery. Not only is this a store where you can grab organic products in bulk (ie. nuts, grains, herbs, spices, soaps) but they also have a drink bar with coffees and kava, as well has West King Wednesday Market and different events and classes for the community.

  • Funkytown Fitness. You can find Group fitness classes from Zumba, Yoga to Body Pump. Funkytown is such a great place to workout, get fit and meet a lot of great people that are focused on healthy living and having fun, as well.

  • Girl Gang. Awesome events and markets for empowering local women!

  • High Vibe Drum Tribe. Every Monday evening at the St. Augustine Beach Pier, 7-9pm. Bring a drum (sometimes they have extras), hula hoops, blanket or chair. Or just bring yourself and move your body to some drum beats and

  • Embodied Feminine Leaders Facebook Group. This is a free online space of over 500 Women Entrepreneurs. I created this Facebook Group for women to come together to share and connect with each other. There are free trainings and healing ceremonies with in the group. Plus, I encourage everyone to share their businesses on Wednesdays and I also give free Spiritual and Business Coaching on Fridays. Feel free to join!

  • Spiritual CEO. My monthly Membership that includes Social Media Marketing trainings, Healing Classes, New Moon Ceremonies and 3 Days of Voxer Group Training every single month! This is a 6 month commitment, come expand with us!

Spas & Beauty

This section might not be up your alley, and might even be semi-controversial. Again, “take what resonates and leave the rest.” As someone who comes from being raised in a trailer park/in poverty, and on food stamps… allowing myself to take care of my body, my skin and how I dress myself… has been a total learning experience for me. To "Glow Up” is to become the best version of yourself. So, if you were already her… would you like to have a spa day or pamper yourself? No right or wrong answer here… just something to ask yourself. There can also be certain mindset blocks to allowing ourselves to Receive pampering. Or maybe there is no block… and you would rather be playing in your garden or swimming in the ocean for the day, and that feels more aligned for you!

Self-Care looks different for everyone! And that’s ok!

  • Circles of Wellness. This place is LITERALLY such a vibe! My favorite is to do a Massage, HydroTub, Infrared Sauna and then relax by their outdoor pool and hot tub! They also offer facials, botox, manicures and so much more.

  • LaCura Salt Spa. I love going to the Salt Room here and their infrared sauna. Such a good reset and boost to the immune system

  • The Beauty Mark. One of my favorite places to go! This is an award winning salon and spa that really makes you feel right at home. They offer everything from hair cuts & styling to facials, lash/brow services, and even event make-up.

  • Stylist. If you want help with upgrading your style, your wardrobe and/or your brand… Auretha Callison is one of the best! She has helped me so much in my own Glow Up journey and has helped hundreds of others. Not only does she help with styling, and confidence but she’s also a powerful intuitive healer! Highly recommend booking a session with her!

Energy Healing

I am very picky when it comes to Energy Healers & Spiritual Teachers/Psychics. If you’re looking for support with Energy work, it’s just like shopping for anything else. Try some things out, see how you like it and go with whatever feels right to you.

  • Spiritual Coaching, Energy Healing & Psychic Readings. I cannot recommend Catherine Heymsfeld enough! She has helped me so much and has helped hundreds of women! Find Your Divine Connection here

  • The Portal (in Jacksonville) offers different Psychic Readers, Drum Circles and Events

I love this town, that has grown into more of a city the last 10 or so years.

It is a magical place!

I hope this has helped you in some way!
